Nashville, TN - 29 April 2013 - Katie Heath, a singer-songwriter in Nashville, is launching a campaign to raise money for the victims of the bombings in Boston and their families. Originally from the East Coast, this tragedy hit close to home for Katie. She was inspired to pen the song "Already Won" by the strength, courage, and goodness demonstrated by so many people in the face of sorrow and destruction. Now Katie wants to be a part of the recovery process and bring a message of hope to everyone who listens to her song.
"My hope is that this song will spread and touch as many people as possible," Katie shares. "That's the beauty of music. It transcends me and can go so far beyond my individual voice. I'm just the vessel-it's about the message."
A music video for "Already Won" premiered on YouTube on April 28, and it is already gaining attention on social media. Katie encourages everyone to take a moment and share the song with their friends, because just one click can keep the message going. "Already Won" is available as a download on NoiseTrade.com, with all proceeds going to www.onefundboston.org.
Katie is proud to be a part of helping Boston and encouraging all people everywhere to stand up for goodness and love. "An attack like this is devastating," Katie says. "You wonder why this happened and how someone could be so evil. The truth is, we don't have the answers to those questions, but we need to remind ourselves that there is so much beauty in the world and that we don't have to stand by and do nothing. Let's stand up for what's right."
Please help Katie use her music to make a difference. You can learn more about Katie and the fundraising effort at KatieHeathMusic.com or by calling 615-414-2904. The "Already Won" music video is live at YouTube.com/KatieHeathMusic, and the download is available at NoiseTrade.com/KatieHeath.
